    1. With the #showtrials over, everyday repression continues. Firefighters in Girona summoned to court for driving by a Guardia Civil barracks with the sirens blaring.     This was the day after the #1Oct referendum. The firefighters are also charged with abandoning the fire station, something they categorically deny, saying the station was staffed at all times.

      In many polling stations on #1Oct the firefighters were quite literally the front-line defenders of the people against the Spanish police. Prosecuting them is to attack the very best of Catalonia.
