Given that Puigdemont will be arrested if he sets foot in the country, they're effectively banning the only nominated candidate for the position. Constitutional Court also rules that even if Puigdemont makes it into the building he cannot be invested as president without judicial permission, if the arrest warrant remains in force. Also, if he doesn't show up, the parliamentary session is automatically cancelled.Permalink On twitter.com
