The CDRs are grassroots organisations that basically grew out of the ad-hoc WhatsApp groups of people who defended the polling stations at the #1oct referendum. They have since morphed into the main 'people power' blocks coordinating local actions.On twitter.com

The CDRs are the ones who have covered Catalonia in yellow ribbons, held protests and marches, organised the huge rally in Brussels, and almost every micro-action since the referendum. The main one is @CDRCatOficial, but there are literally hundreds.Permalink On twitter.com
