      @Gemsbcn @Foreign_Cat @EU_Commission @vonderleyen @llenguacatEU Irish is the official first language of Ireland (with English being the second one) so it has official status in the EU. Why doesn't Catalan get the same status? Because Spain doesn't accept it as a Spanish national language and has repeatedly blocked it being accepted in the EU.
