    @robbiejdunne @sidlowe 100% of goals scored result in loss of possession, except if you score with the last kick of the game. The logical conclusion of possession-based football is to aim for 100% possession, only allowing your team take one shot, as the referee is about to blow for full time.

      @robbiejdunne @sidlowe The weakness of my thesis is that regardless of what you do the other team will always get some possession from their one guaranteed kick-off (start of first half or start of second half). Accepting this and aiming for 'asymptotic 100%' seems unsatisfactory.
